The Leonardo ProcessDays Conference on 14
and 15 August this year will be the premier BPM
event of the year. Along with the two Master Classes,
the ARIS Symposium, demonstration and exhibition areas,
case studies and the BPM Awards, this conference
provides two days of process management and modelling
education and peer-to-peer networking.
Focusing
on The BPM Tipping Point Leonardo
ProcessDays 2008 has The BPM Tipping Point as it’s
overall theme.
The phrase "tipping point" has
its origins in epidemiology. It describes the point in
the spread of an epidemic where critical mass is
reached. Malcolm Gladwell, author of the influential
book The Tipping Point (Little Brown 2000), redefines a
tipping point in sociological terms as, "the moment of
critical mass, the threshold, the boiling point." It's
the moment on the graph when the line starts to shoot
straight upwards.
The BPM Tipping Point is that
moment where the idea of process-based management
achieves critical mass and the momentum for change
becomes undeniable. How can we create and maintain the
conditions where such an organisational epidemic takes
hold? What are the elements that combine to make process
management a highly contagious idea?
At Leonardo
ProcessDays 2008 we’ll explore the theory and practice
of “BPM infection”.
